Historic church conversion with pool, gardens and small olive grove 9 km from Passignano sul Trasime
Tucked into the quiet hills of northern Umbria, this remarkable property for sale merges sacred history with modern comfort. A restored 16th-century church and adjoining vicarage now form a singular residence of rare character and charm. Set above the tranquil Pian di Marte, the home enjoys uninterrupted views over pine-studded valleys and rolling olive groves.
The interiors are rich in atmosphere: the deconsecrated church has been transformed into a dramatic lounge, ideal for entertaining or quiet reflection, with soaring ceilings, terracotta tiles, and arched windows that bathe the space in natural light. The adjacent former vicarage includes four spacious bedrooms, two of which are en suite, along with a fully equipped kitchen, a study, multiple sitting areas, and a central hallway with an elegant open staircase. The original crypt, carved directly into the rock beneath the church, serves today as a perfect wine cellar.
A sweeping curved infinity pool of 70 m² is discreetly nestled into the landscape, offering full privacy and breathtaking panoramic views. Stone-paved paths, outdoor dining areas, and mature landscaping complete the setting, ideal for year-round living or summer escape.
